The 2006 schedule is composed of twelve championship points events in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Randel King will be competing for the championship in the ASA Speed Truck Challenge series as well as an effort to capture the Rookie of the Year title. A brief summary of Randel King's racing accomplishments include:
- Started racing BMX in 1995 with ten (10) top three (3) finishes in his first year receiving Rookie of the Year honors.
- Over twenty (20) Main Event victories in three (3) years of competitive BMX racing.
- In 2000, began racing motorcycles in the 80cc class at local motocross tracks and earned top three (3) finishes in his first three (3) events at the regional level.
- Started Racing Karts in March 2002 competing in the Junior 1 karts with an 80cc Comet engine, with season resulting in three (3) wins and twelve (12) top three (3) finishes.
- In 2003, Randel set a new track record at Adams Kart Track in Junior 1 kart class. Finished with eight (8) fast times, seven (7) Main Event wins and fourteen (14) top three (3) finishes in two local southern California series.
- In 2004, Randel moved up to Junior full size karts with a Yamaha 100cc and competed in IKF and WKA series with one (1) IKF second (2 nd ) place finish and six (6) top five (5) finishes. Also second (2 nd ) place in Junior Superbox division and a third place (3 rd ) in Junior HPV division at the King Taco Open at Fontana Speedway .
- Also in 2004 Randel earned a top ten (10) finish at the IKF Grand Nationals in the Junior Superbox division and he qualified on the pole position for the State Championships in the Junior Superbox division
- In the 2005 season some of Randel's results included a Junior Formula Y Class Championship in IKF Region 7.
- Crowned 2005 Hawaiian State Champion in the Junior Sportsman Class.
- Also in 2005, Randel earned five (5) pole positions, four (4) Main Event wins and three (3) top three (3) finishes in the IKF Region 7 Junior Formula Y class plus he was fifth (5 th ) in points for IKF Region 7 Junior Superbox with one (1) Main Event win, two (2) top three (3) finishes and four (4) top five (5) finishes.
- Three (3) top ten (10) finishes at the 2005 IKF Grand Nationals.
- Fast time and #1 qualifier for the Red Bull America's Driver Search Run-Off's in 2005.
- 2006 ASA Speed Truck Challenge Fast Time Awards at Madera Speedway and at Irwindale Speedway.

ASA Speed Truck Challenge information
What is an ASA Speed Truck? It is a full-tilt racing truck. With the fiberglass body removed, it looks very much like a NASCAR Southwest Tour car. The Speed Truck is a “spec series” vehicle. The engine is a GM Vortec crate engine that produces between 350 and 365 horsepower utilizing a two barrel Holley carburetor. There are currently six different bodies available: Chevy S-10, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota, GMC Sonoma, Toyota Tacoma, and Nissan Frontier.
The ASA Speed Truck Challenge is a familiar division to California race fans. For more than a decade these cars have raced at Orange Show Speedway, Mesa Marin Raceway, Irwindale Speedway, I-10 Speedway, the Las Vegas Bullring, and many other venues throughout California.
